Hezbollah reportedly rejected a proposed prisoner release in exchange for information on four kidnapped Israelis. A Lebanese newspaper said Israel had offered to free 150 Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners in exchange for information on three Israeli soldiers and an Israeli businessman kidnapped by Hezbollah in October 2001.
