A delegation of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, headed by Ben Touster, president, was tendered at a dinner here by the Histadrut, Israel’s Federation of Labor, before its departure from the country today.
I. Chaskin, Histadrut treasurer, lauded the achievements of HIAS over the years in helping immigrants and now in helping Israel. Mr. Touster hailed the Histadrut’s role in building Israel. The delegation came to Israel to participate in the ceremony of laying a cornerstone for a special hostel in Beersheba, to be built by HIAS, for Israeli and foreign technicians working in the expanding Negev development enterprises.
