HIAS helped almost 13,000 refugees find new homes in free countries last year, according to the agency’s 101st annual report, published this week. Of those served, 6,720 were Soviet Jews. To conduct its programs, operated through a network of offices in 47 countries, HIAS spent $11, 523,935 in 1981, the report said.
