The number of Jewish emigration applications now being processed by the Warsaw offices of the HIAS is over 4,000, a report to HIAS world headquarters here disclosed today. The report covers the first nine months of this year.
The report added that HIAS offices are still functioning in Warsaw, Lodz, Oracow and Wroclaw. During September, 302 emigration cases were registered while 47 persons were aided to proceed to overseas destinations, the report said.
