The reprsentatives of the Hicem, the combination of the Hias, Ica and Emigdirek, who are in this country to make a survey of the Jewish colonies, were feted at a banquet last night by Jewish leaders of Buenos Aires.
The dinner was given on the occasion of the departure of the Hias delegate, Aaron Benjamin, to visit the Jewish settlement in Brazil.
More than 150 guests prominent in Jewish affairs in South America, praised the work of the three organizations and pledged their support to the work. A substantial sum was raised at the banquet for immigrant welfare work.
