Dr. Pinchas Kohn, president of the Agudath Israel, the Orthodox Jewish world organization, who is visiting here, was received yesterday by the High Commissioner, Lord Plumer, Ronald Storrs, Governor of Jerusalem, and Norman Bentwich, the attorney general.

It was understood that the High Commissioner promised Dr. Kohn to safeguard the rights of the Orthodox clement in the Palestine Communities Ordinance.

The thirtieth anniversary of the organization of Congregation Sons of Israel, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, N. Y., was celebrated at a $100 dinner at the Broadway Central Hotel last night.

The proceeds of the dinner will go toward the erection of a synagogue annex adjoining the synagogue. The annex will house a Talmud Torah, which will accommodate 1,000 children. Rabbi Nachman H. Ebin, rabbi of the congregation, was the principal speaker. Charles Paston is president of the congregation.
