The Metropolitan Archbishop of Moldavia decided today to evict all Jews from houses and shops belonging to the Jassy metropolitan estate, one of the largest properties in this city.
Archbishop Nicodemus ordered that for the present only Christians will be accepted as tenants in properties of the estate. Anti-Semitic circles hailed the decision as an endorsement of their policy by the high clergy.
