B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of its program at the City College of New York. Rabbi Arthur Zuckerman directs the Hillel program at City College which has an enrollment of 11,000 Jewish students.
Rabbi Benjamin M. Kahn, national Hillel director, told a commemorative banquet here that the primary goal of Jewish organizational activity is not Jewish survival, but the perpetuation of Jewish values. He urged that Jewish leaders take a “critical look” at the programs of their organizations to insure that Jewish education is adequately represented.
