A cumulative total of $30,082,000 was raised by the Israel Histadrut Foundation for a wide program of health, educational and welfare programs in Israel, according to a year-end report by Dr..Sol Stein, president of the Foundation. He reported this achievement of the 13-year-old affiliate of the National Committee for Labor Israel at the semi-annual meeting of the Foundation’s Board of Directors on Tuesday.
Acting upon the recommendation of its executive committee, the board adopted a budget projecting a $20 million goal of new commitments for the next three years in order to reach a cumulative total of commitments of $50 million by 1976. William H. Sylk, of Philadelphia, national chairman of the Foundation, outlined a series of events for the coming year, culminating with a Histadrut. Economic Conference on Israel in Miami Beach Feb. 18-20, 1974.
