Three of the seven members of the Histadruth, General Federation of Labor in Palestine, arrested for complicity in yesterday’s clashes with members of the National Labor Union, were today sentenced to jail for from three days to one week. One was also fined.
The clashes between the two rival unions broke out when Lamport, owner of one of the enterprises at Ramath Gan, dismissed the Histadruth workers and hired workers of the National Labor Union. The Histadruth declared a strike, but the National Labor Union men continued to work.
