He declares that “Hitler is now causing new impetus to anti-Semitism in Poland as a part of a manoeuvre to hold that country through Colonel Josef Beck, its Foreign Minister, as a German ally and to prevent its swing back to France under the influence of General Edward Smigly-Rydz, its dictator.”
