“The ambition to dominate the world, displayed in the so-called “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” does not express the spirit of the Jews, as anti-Semites allege, but is characteristic of present-day Germany,” Dr. C. A. Loosli, Swiss author and expert retained by the court, declared today in his second day’s testimony at the trial here.
Dr. Loosli accused Hitler of using the ideas expressed in the “Protocols” as a basis for his book, “My Struggle.” He termed the “Protocols” a complete forgery and substantiated his testimony with material from Russian archives proving that the “Protocols” were forged by General Ratchkowsky, the chief of the Czarist Secret police who was interested in stimulating anti-Jewish propaganda in Russia.
DENOUNCES NAZIS
Dr. Loosli strongly condemned the unscrupulous methods of the Nazis in using the “Protocols” as propaganda against the Jews. He also denounced the Nazi movement in Switzerland, saying that it is financed by the Nazis from Germany.
The expert for the court ridiculed the testimony of the Nazi expert Col. Fleischauer. He called upon anyone to produce a single authentic, credible argument to support this contention that the “Protocols” are genuine.
