Difficulties in obtaining visas for travelling in Germany, even transit visas for passage through the country, have been introduced at the German consulate here directed exclusively against the Jews. Jews having to travel in Germany or to pass through there are required to fill out long forms in which they are compelled to state the length of their Polish citizenship, whether they previously lived in Germany and whether they are quitting Poland permanently. In addition they must furnish the consular office with two photographs of themselves and present their rail or steamship tickets disclosing their exact destination.
The Jewish population of Warsaw is indignant at this Nazi practice of racial discrimination within the borders of this country, which they direct not only against their own citizens but also against foreigners.
