The reorganization of Bikur Cholim, oldest Jewish hospital in Palestine, is now under way. Professor Herman Zondek, formerly of Berlin, expert on internal diseases, and Dr. Tugendreich, noted roentengenologist, also of Berlin, have been engaged.
Prior to the reorganization, which is going on under the direction of J. H. Farbstein, examiner for the Jewish Agency Executive, the hospital, which was founded by Sir Moses Montefiore on his third visit to the Holy Land, was closed for several months because of financial difficulties.
With its new and expanded personnel, the board of directors of the hospital have issued an appeal to Jews throughout the world to assist the venture.
