FUR CHARITY CHEST BUDGET APPROVED
A budget of $422,000 for 919 institutions was approved by the Board of Directors of the Charity Chest of the Fur Industry at a meeting held at the Fur Merchants Club. The Directors approved the recommendations of the Distribution Committee of that organization.
The chairman of the Distribution Committee, Alex A. Bernstein, stated that the present budget represented a reduction from that of last year which was $470,000. He explained that this reduction in the 1928 budget was due to the business depression in the trade at this time.
