Israel’s southernmost town, the port of Elath on the Gulf of Akaba, celebrated two major improvements this week: the opening of a new hotel and the inauguration of an additional water supply system.
The hotel will make it possible for tourists to remain for a time in Elath and visit the historic and scenic spots in the vicinity. The added water supply will guarantee adequate water for homes, developing industries and gardens where inhabitants will be able to grow their own vegetables, now brought in at great expense.
