A bill which would make it a penitentiary offense to belong to the Anti-Defamation League was introduced during the last ten minutes of the recently-concluded session of the 81st Congress, which ended last night, it was learned today. The measure was introduced by Rep. John Rankin, of Mississippi, and was referred to the House Un-American Activities Committee.
Under the terms of the measure, the federal Government would be empowered to impose prison sentences of not more than five years and fines of not less than $500 on persons affiliated with the A.D.L.
