Hundreds of people gathered in Warsaw to mark the 30th anniversary of the former communist regime’s 1968 anti-Semitic campaign that forced 20,000 Polish Jews to leave Poland. The audience included government officials, the U.S. and Israeli ambassadors, local Jews and a number of Jews who left Poland in 1968, but returned to Warsaw especially for the occasion.
