The opening of the shekel selling campaign in Bulgaria was marked here with a demonstration during which many Jewish organizations including the Maccabi sports group marched through the Jewish section of the city. The administration was preceded by a memorial meeting honoring the Jews who died during the War and the Nazi occupation.
