Praise for the contributions of Hungarian Jews to the fatherland and for their generosity in treating Christians at hospitals maintained by Jews was voiced by representatives of the government who visited the hospital of the Budapest Jewish community which cost $1,000,000 to remodel. Jewish leaders present expressed the hope that the principle of equality will also prevail inside of daily life, thus abolishing differences among citizens.
