The Hungarian Government last week dissolved all Zionist organizations, closed their headquarters and expelled ten Zionist leaders, it was reported here today by the New York Times in a Vienna dispatch quoting authoritative Jewish sources In the Austrian capital.
The principal groups affected, according to the Times, were the local Jewish Agency office, Jewish National Fund and local Zionist groups. It stated that hope was expressed in Jewish circles that the dissolution of the Zionist groups did not also ?ean the collapse of negotiations for large-scale emigration of Jews from Hungary to Israel.
