The Government of Hungary today announced its recognition of Israel. The announcement was broadcast by the Budapest radio.
The Bulgarian Government is willing to recognize Israel if the Jewish state will formally ask for such recognition, it was reported here today from Sofia, statement to this effect was made by the Bulgarian Foreign Minister to Shmuel Lev Hacohen, representative of the Jewish Agency.
(From Amsterdam it was reported today that the Butch Parliament voted unanimously in favor of a motion welcoming the creation of Israel. However, the government announced that recognition must be withheld because of objections to Israel in Dutch territorial possessions abroad.)
