The general council of the International Refugee Organization, consisting of the 18 member nations of the organization, will meet here tomorrow to plan the liquidation of the I.R.O., which ceased functioning January 31.
Part of the I.R.O. migration machinery will be turned over to the Provisional Intergovernmental Committee for the Movement of Migrants from Europe, which began operations the moment the I.R.O. ceased functioning. George L. Warren, State Department advisor on refugees and displaced persons, has been designated by President Truman as American delegate to the liquidation session.
(The I.R.O. ended all activities this week-end with the arrival in New York of the last immigrant vessel which brought 1,272 DP immigrants to the United States. Aboard the vessel was Florika Remetier, five-year-old Rumanian Jewish girl, who has already given five concerts in Italy and Germany. The child prodigy began playing the violin and the piano at the age of three.)
