An Israel Defense Force patrol killed three heavily armed terrorists attempting to infiltrate the south Lebanon security zone late Tuesday night.
There were no Israeli casualties.
The clash was the third in three days with terrorists attempting to infiltrate into Israel through the security zone.
Six gunmen have been killed and two captured in the three encounters.
The incident Tuesday night occurred in the central sector of the zone, southwest of Houla village. The site is near the Israeli border town of Kiryat Shmona.
IDF sources said it was not yet known to which terrorist group the three slain gunmen belonged. No one has claimed credit for the infiltration attempt.
