Ilse Koch, notorious war criminal who was released by the American authorities last year and immediately rearrested by Bavarian police, will be transferred from her prison cell to a hospital to undergo mental observation, it was reported today. The examination was ordered by the court which will begin trying her at Augsberg in March.
The office of John J. McCloy, American High Commissioner in Germany, this weekend ordered the extradition to Poland of two Ukrainians charged with torturing and murdering Jews during the Nazi occupation of Poland. The case against the Ukrainians, Roman Switenko and his son, Vladimir, was compiled partly by the Jewish Central Committee of Poland.
