Compared with the figures for recent months, the entrance of 358 people to Palestine during May represents a reduction and foreshadows the results of the stoppage of Jewish immigration. Of the 358 who entered in May, 267 were Jews, 67 Christians and 24 Moslems. During the same period, 66 Palestinian Jewish citizens, 123 Jewish aliens, 32 Christians and 55 Moslems left. The Jewish immigrants include 44 who entered as travelers and were allowed to settle.
