The remains of Rabbi Solomon Schliffer, Chief Rabbi of Moscow, who died in has synagogue Monday, were buried yesterday in the Jewish cemetery at Vostriakovo, a Moscow suburb, according to a dispatch received here today from the Soviet capital.
More than 1,500 persons participated in the funeral services and a motorcade of 100 cars and buses followed the hearse to the cemetery, 12 miles south of Moscow. Present at the services, which included three hours of eulogies, were a representative of the Soviet Ministry of Cults and the Charge d’Affaires of the Israel Embassy. The Israeli diplomat laid on the grave a wreath reading in Russian and Hebrew from the Israel Embassy.”
