In the name of cost-cutting, Israeli President Moshe Katsav decided to fly commercial airlines during his official visit to the United States next week. The Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported that after learning that his use of an Israeli air force plane for the trip would cost more than $300,000, Katsav decided that the presidential entourage would travel to the United States on El Al and use domestic American airlines for internal flights.
