The INBAL. dance theatre of Israel, will make its second American tour this Fall under the auspices of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the management of S. Hurok, it was announced by Samiel Rubin, president of the Foundation. The INBAL will give 78 performances in 27 communities in the United States and Canada, commencing in Princeton, N.J. at the McCarter Theatre. October 4 and will include two-week engagements in Los Angeles and New York City.
INBAL’s 1959 tour will be featured by four new numbers two spectacular dances in which the whole company will participate, “Desert” and “Exodus–On Eagle Wings,” a series of dances created to mark the tenth anniversary of the termination of the Yemenite Jewish exile, and their coming to Israel in 1948; and two song numbers “Fly My Dove” and “Women.”
