He will deliver a series of lectures on his scientific discoveries at the Hebrew University.
Sir Raman has just issued an appeal to the authorities of various Indian universities and other institutions of learning to appoint German Jewish professors forced to leave the Reich because of Hitlerism.
He has received more than 100 letters from these Jewish professors describing their present condition.
