Indianapolis Names Jew to City Park Board

Appointment of Jackiel W. Joseph, Indianapolis attorney, as a member of the city park board, to succeed Michael E. Foley, who resigned, has been announced by Mayor Reginald H. Sullivan.

Mr. Joseph, who has been practicing law in Indianapolis for several years, is a member of the board of directors of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and the Jewish Federation. He is also president of the Jewish Family Service Society and vice-president of the Security Auto Insurance Co., the Acme Works, Inc., and the Albert Furniture Co. of Shelbyville.

His designation is the first appointment of a Jew by the new city administration, which came into offire the first of January.
