Severe penalty for insulting a woman in the street was handed down by a Jewish judge against Chaim Blum, a tailor. He was sentenced to be deported from the country and the payment of a fine of one and a half pounds.
The deportation order was criticised in the press today it being argued that it was too severe a punishment. An appeal to a higher court will be made. Blum is a native of Hungary and has lived in Palestine for the past six years.
