Interfaith Nuptials Banned in Greece; Civil Rites Ruled out

Intermarriage of members of different religious faiths is forbidden in Greece under the terms of a new law just published by the Government. Contrary to expectations in some quarters, the Government failed to introduce civil marriage. Weddings must, therefore, continue to be celebrated according to religious rites.
