Establishment of an international bank to finance postwar Jewish reconstruction was urged today at a meeting of the Continental Zionists’ organization here. The group proposed the formation of a “Jewish Institute of Postwar Reconstruction” which would study plans for such a financial institution and would also investigate the possibilities of mass emigration to Palestine after the war of those Jews who are unable to adjust themselves to conditions in the countries in which they are now living.
The annual conference of the British Mizrachi, which concluded its two-day session here today, elected Chief Rabbi Hertz as president. The delegates adopted a resolution empowering the Mierachi executive to negotiated an agreement on affiliation of the organization to the Zionist Federation.
