The claim of the Greek Government on behalf of the Greek engineer, Navromatis, against the British Government, concerning the concession granted to Engineer Pinchaes Ruttenberg on the electrification and irrigation of Palestine, will not be heard by the International Court of Justice according to the decision of the same court.
The decision was rendered in the case of Mr. Navromatis against the electrification concession of Ruttenberg at Jaffa. Navromatis claimed that he had obtained a similar concession from the Turkish Government before the outbreak of the war. The Court did not find itself competent to take up the matter.
The case against the Jerusalem concession is scheduled to be heard on January 1st, but it is the opinion of five judges that according to the provisions of the Palestine Mandate, the International Court has no jurisdiction to take up this matter.
