Interpol, the international police agency, has warned airport and airline officials to be on the alert for seven members of the Palestine Liberation Front known to be in Europe and believed to be planning a new series of airliner hijackings. Passengers and aircraft bound for the Middle East were rigorously checked by security personnel at the airport yesterday. Police searched passengers and their luggage while others went through the airliners and its cargo for suspicious looking objects.
