Intimidation of refugees was reported today to be among the reasons leading to the expulsion of ten German residents by the British Government.

Expressing “profound shame” at the British Government’s policy as “condemning to death and torture thousands of men, women and children knocking at the doors and asking succor,” the Women’s Liberal Federation has adopted a resolution urging a courageous and humanitarian policy toward refugees, stressing the “immeasurable advantage” to the British Commonwealth.
