(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
The introduction of modern labor saving devices and machines in the Polish industries, making rapid progress, throws thousands of Jewish workers out of employment.
Statistics gathered by the Polish branch of the Ort concerning this phase were presented at a press gathering by Dr. Silberfarb, chairman of the Ort. The Jewish worker, he stated, finds it difficult to adapt himself to the new conditions. To cope with this situation, the Ort is trying to train the worker along modern lines and has opened a number of training centers.
