The invention to employ the wind as the driving power for ocean vessels which will reduce the use of coal, oil and other fuel is based on the principle of the dilation of gases, set forth in 1841 by Professor Heinrich Gustav Magnus, German Jewish scholar and professor at the Goettingen University.
This statement was made today by Herr Flettner, the inventor of the rotorship, which employs the wind at a fuel saving of seventy-five per cent.
