Organization of the Iowa United Jewish Campaign was completed here recently at an all-State conference at the Hotel Fort Des Moines. David A. Brown, national chairman of the United Jewish Campaign, addressed the session. Governor John Hammill greeted the conference.
Reports presented showed $60,000 has been pledged in Iowa since the spring of 1926, and to date something over $52,000 has been collected in cash.
A quota of $55,000 for this year’s campaign in Iowa was adopted. Des Moines will conduct its campaign the first week in May, it was announced. Dave Davidson of Sioux City announced that city will conduct its campaign during the early part of May.
Morris Mandelbaum of Des Moines was elected State chairman.
