Iran threatened to fire hundreds of missiles at Israeli and U.S. targets if its nuclear facilities are attacked.
Asra Iran, a Web site affiliated with the Tehran regime, reported Monday that the Islamic Republic has 600 Shihab-3 missiles ready to fire at Israel as a retaliatory measure. The Shihab-3 is believed to be capable of carrying chemical, biological or nuclear warheads.
The site also said Iran is prepared to shell U.S. targets in neighboring Iraq should the Bush administration order airstrikes against Iranian nuclear sites.
The threat, which Iran has made in the past, comes amid growing speculation that armed conflict could be imminent given Tehran’s refusal to curb its uranium enrichment program as required by the U.N. Security Council.
