Irgun Zvai Leumi forces today abducted four British employees of a local electrical supply company on charges of “Intelligence with the enemy.” The Irgun said that the Britons communicated with British officers of the Arab Legion through secret routes leading into the Old City during the siege of the ancient quarter. The four men are “being held for interrogation,” an Irgun announcement said.
