Isaac Schneersohn, prominent Jewish leader, was honored here by the French Government for distinctive services. He was decorated with the order of “Chevalier” of the French Legion of Honor.
Mr. Schneersohn is president of the Committee of Jewish Contemporary Documentation which has collected and published considerable material on Nazi atrocities against Jews. He is also chairman of the executive of the “Memorial for the Unknown Jewish Martyrs” which was erected in Paris.
