Professor Ismar Boas, noted physician who originated the clinical treatment of stomach and intestinal diseases, died today at the age of 80. He was formerly Professor at the University of Berlin.
Born in 1858 in Exin, Posen, he was appointed Professor at Berlin University in 1907, and his subsequent researches in methodology, diagnosis and therapeutics formed important contributions to the science of stomach and intestinal diseases.
