Israel has agreed in principle to the return of Greek nationals to homes they fled in Israel when the Arab armies invaded Palestine, the Israel consul here today notified the Greek Foreign Ministry.
The only condition set by the Jews is that the person claiming Greek citizenship must have achieved it prior to May 15, 1948. Greek citizens will have their homes in Israel returned to them, except where Jewish refugees are now dwelling in them. In this event, the Greek owner will receive rent from the house and the Israel Government will find him alternative accommodations.
