Israel military headquarters announced today that a two-engined plane of the Israeli Air Force has been missing since this morning on a training flight over the Mediterraneasn. Day-long searches failed to disclose any traces of the craft.

A military spokesman also revealed today that for the third time within the week armed Arab groups made an attempt this morning to penetrate into Israel territory near Jerusalem. The attempt was checked after a two-hour fight between the considerable number of Arabs and an Israeli border patrol. Members of the U.N. Mixed Armistice Commission proceeded to the site of the clash to make an on-the-spot investigation.

Gen. Vagn Bennike, United Nations truce chief, visited the Israel Foreign Office in Jerusalem today prior to his departure for New York in connection with the forth coming session of the U.N. General Assembly. He discussed various matters with high officials of the Foreign Office.
