Israel and Egyptian members of the mixed armistice commission have signed an agreement dividing equally forty square kilometers of the demilitarized zone between Both Nahum and Deirsuneid, northeast of Gaza, and establishing a single demarcation line between the two countries, thus abolishing the “no-man’s land” zone which existed since the signing of the Rhodes armistice pact, concluded a year ago today.
