The ceremony of the exchange of instruments of Ratification of the agreement between the State of Israel and the Federal Republic of Germany, covering payments of indemnity by Germany to Israel, will take place tomorrow morning in the office of Constantin Stavropoulos, director of the Legal Department of the United Nations.
Arthur Lourie, Deputy Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations and Consul-General in New York, will represent Israel at the ceremony. It is understood that the Federal Republic of Germany will be represented by its Permanent Observer to the United Nations and Consul-General in New York, Dr. Hans E.###
Mr. Lourie will be accompanied by Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the American Section of the Jewish Agency executive and head of the praesidium of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. The ceremony of the exchange of Instruments of Ratification is covered in Article 17 of the agreement, which states: The Instruments of Ratification shall be exchanged as soon as possible by accredited representatives of the contracting parties at the Secretariat of the United Nations a New York. “
