An agreement between Israel and the United States regarding guarantees on industrial investments was concluded here today through an exchange of notes between Israel’s Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett and U.S. Ambassador Monnet Davis. The agreement between the representatives of the two governments establishes a system of protection for American citizens desiring to invest in Israel.
Prospective investors interested in benefits offered by the agreement–after having received approval of their investments from the Israel Government Investment Center–will be informed that their investments may be guaranteed by a mutual security agency in Washington against certain risks, including the risk of loss by expropriation.
