Israel and Argentina have signed a new commercial agreement according to which Israel will buy meat and agricultural produce and sell chemicals and other items to Argentina. Previous commercial intercourse between the two nations has been heavily loaded in Argentina’s favor. Argentina had been selling some $9 million worth of goods and buying less than $500,000 worth annually.
It is hoped by both parties that new trade vistas will be opened by the pact. Dr. David Golah, director-general of the Israel Ministry of Commerce and Industry, signed for his country. Mr. Enrique C.C. Valente, undersecretary of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Commerce, was the other signatory.
